GOD BLESS YOU!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I am in great expectation of tremendous blessings for you, your family, and our church family as we embrace and commit ourselves to this 21- Day Fast Forward Campaign.
As I often say, “We are doing life TOGETHER!” This fast is a prime example of the sentiments of my heart exemplified. It is my sincere hope that during this time, God will reveal His plan and accelerate your purpose. Additionally, while you are fasting, this is a great time to do some spiritual house cleaning. Holiness should be our way of living and practice. This is a time to separate (sanctify) yourself from worldly, fleshly, and demonic things that cause hindrances to God’s blessings.
1 Thessalonians. 4:7 states “For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.”
Lastly, during this fast, we should expect miracles and healings to take place in and around our lives. Miracles are not just something we marvel at. They should be expected and are used by God for specific purposes. Believers with Kingdom passion expect miracles to happen so that God’s purposes can be accomplished.
Commit yourself through this fast to draw closer to God and to enjoy and delight yourself in His presence each day. Enclosed is additional information on fasting as well as the schedule and prayer focus for our fast. I look forward to God moving in each and every one of your lives.
In Expectation of Signs and Wonders,
Pastor Quentin N. Battle
FASTING DEFINED
Fasting is to abstain from eating/drinking for an extended period of time. It is a voluntary act to sacrifice the thing or things that prevent you from obtaining a deeper relationship with God. The terms “eating” and “drinking” are the figurative terms used to describe things that we consume. The fact of the matter is that we live in a technological world and our bodies are the houses for the information that is being transmitted. We are constantly consuming information. Whether the information is good or bad, the information is housed in our mind, our body, and our spirit.
WHY SHOULD I FAST?
This is a common question. The simple answer is the reason to fast is to be closer to God. Fasting not only puts us in a position to be closer to God, but it also provides us many personal benefits such as breaking addictions and cleansing our bodies. Often times we are reliant on things that keep us busy and furthermore distracted. Fasting allows us to slow down and hear from our Father clearly.
